Most tours start and end in Inverness but we can be flexible.
We currently don't provide vehicles for touring but can try to assist with rentals and bookings.

Bus & Coach
There are frequent bus services that travel from various main cities to Inverness daily.
Train
Inverness railway station is in the city centre and has frequent fast and reliable services to and from major cities and Inverness Airport.
LNER trains run along the east coast from cities such as London, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh. Book with LNER

Driving

Flying
Inverness Airport is located 9 miles north-east of Inverness. You can fly from a number of destinations across the UK and Europe.
You can travel from the airport to the city centre in around 30 minutes by bus, train, taxi or car. Find out more about getting to Inverness from the airport.

There may be a small fee for bespoke tours which require specific planning.
There is no Booking Fee. All fees and conditions should be agreed in advance of the tour.
Full payment or deposit of 25% in advance is appreciated.
Separate payment will be required for a driver and vehicle. We can try to help arrange this.
Guide Board and Lodging – Lunch or meal allowance should be discussed. An allowance for dinner, bed and breakfast where overnight stays are involved, is required. This is normally £70.00.
Travel Expenses – A charge will normally be made for reasonable travel to the meeting place if outwith 25 miles of Inverness.

After requesting the tour, you’ll receive three emails in total from us:
After agreeing on tour details, the tour is booked and the tour deposit of 25% is paid, we email the booking confirmation. We will provide a receipt of the deposit payment. We will confirm/detail any ‘special requests or accessibility needs identified by you time of booking; and send you full tour details/plan.
After paying the tour balance on the nominated date, we email you to reconfirm the booking; and issue a receipt of the payment balance. It confirms/details ‘special requests or accessibility needs; and includes full tour details/plan.
At least 7 days before the tour date, we will reconfirm the tour by email.
When booking you will be asked to pay a 25% ‘non-refundable’ deposit. This will secure your booking and a receipt will be issued confirming your tour and detailing how and when to pay the final balance payment. We accept payment by: BACS Bank Transfer, or PayPal.
If you require to change dates then we will do our best to accommodate you if we are free on the new dates.
If a tour is cancelled with less than seven days notice, then 50% of the agreed fee is payable. The full fee is payable if less than 48 hours notice of cancellation is given.

We are flexible and don’t mind how often you change your mind – however additional hours and miles that change the length of the tour may incur additional costs but will be discussed beforehand.
Our tours are available in English or Scottish Gaelic. If you require another language then let us know and we may be able to supply you with the contact of another guide or company.
Any time between April – October is the best time to visit Scotland. However, the months of April, May, September, and October are good if you want better value with generally good weather and lighter crowds.
July and August have the longest days and warmer weather but weather in Scotland can be quite unpredictable so be prepared for four seasons in one day!
At any time of the year, it is advisable to wear ‘layered’ clothing and it is recommended to bring a hooded waterproof/windproof jacket.
Scarves and gloves are recommended in the colder weather of late autumn and winter – and comfy walking shoes and thick socks are advised.
Visitors should advise us of their diet preferences or food allergies at the time of booking. Note, that vegan and vegetarian meals are included on almost all menus in Scotland – look for the V sign against the items.
We strongly advise you to take out appropriate and comprehensive personal travel insurance to cover you for last-minute cancellations, flight delays, accidents, medical costs, repatriation, personal property, valuables loss during your trip.
